Learning Impressionism
We talked about the impressionist artists in class, especially Monet. We looked at how Monet would often paint the same scene over and over at different times of the day and in different seasons. We went outside and used chalk pastel to paint an impression of the Edward's House on a bright fall afternoon. We plan to visit the same spot several times this year to paint the changes we see.
6th grade poised for a great final year.
